Can I request a specific pitch?

Yes, you can. When booking online, after you have selected the type of unit you would like, it will show a drop-down box of available pitches of the type you have requested. You can then select which pitch you want. Please be aware however that pitches may occasionally have to be moved for operational reasons.

What is the difference between a premium pitch and a standard pitch?

Premium pitches are electric pitches which provide you with slightly more privacy than standard electric pitches. There are a variety of pitches available which, subject to availability, are suitable for all different forms of camping.

Are any of your pitches fully serviced?

This is not a service we are able to provide. We do not have any glamping facilities.

What’s the maximum number of people I can have on my pitch?

We only allow a maximum of 8 people per pitch in total (that includes any infant/child). We do not allow all adult groups.

Can I put more than 1 tent/caravan/motorhome/campervan on a pitch?

No, only one unit is allowed per pitch. A unit is defined as a tent, trailer tent, folding camper, campervan, motorhome or caravan. Please note, there is no distinguishing between an 8-person tent or a 1-person tent. Both are classified for licensing purposes as one unit.

For electric pitches, do I need to bring an electric hook up cable?

Yes. To make use of the electricity supply, you will need to bring with you an electric hook up cable, a round 3-pin plug (available at outdoor camping suppliers/shops). Please note that we do not supply them or have them to purchase.

Cables should be a standard 16amp outdoor cable at one end with a 13amp socket at the other, and with a minimum of 15m to ensure you can reach the hook up point.

Each hook up point is clearly numbered on each pitch and delivers a maximum of 1.5KW (6amps) per pitch. Please ensure that you do not exceed this wattage, as it may cause the circuit to trip. Generators are not permitted.

How much electric can I pull?

Each hook up point is clearly numbered on each pitch and delivers a maximum of 1.5KW (6amps) per pitch. Please ensure that you do not exceed this wattage, as it may cause the circuit to trip. Generators are not permitted. As supply is limited, campers should only use travelling kettles, irons etc. Normal utilities may trip the supply.

I want to bring my campervan but I don’t need electric, can I go on a non-electric pitch?

No. Our non-electric pitches are for tents only. Campervans, motorhomes, caravans etc. are not permitted on these pitches.

I am bringing my tent and my friends are bringing their caravan/motorhome, can we be next to each other?

Yes, you can be together if we have availability. However, the caravan/motorhome can only go on an electric pitch, so to be together you would both have to go on electric pitches.

Please note, we will always strive to ensure your booking request. However, Wellington Country Park reserves the right to move pitches for any technical, operational or health and safety reasons.
