Data Breach and Fraudulent Email Alert

We would like to bring to your attention once again, following our initial email on 17th June 2025, of a continued scam attempt involving fraudulent emails that falsely claim to be from Wellington Country Park. These emails are promoting fake offers, such as Annual Passes for £50 or discounted gift cards.

To clarify, we are not currently running any promotions on Annual Passes, Day Tickets or Gift Cards. If you receive such a message, please carefully check the sender’s email address. If it is not from an official @wellington.co.uk domain, it should not be trusted.

What to do

If you receive an email from any address that does not end in @wellington.co.uk, please forward it to [email protected] so our team can investigate.
Block the sender on your own device, to prevent further messages.
Do not click on any links or make purchases through external websites. We advise all recipients to exercise caution when receiving unsolicited emails, especially those requesting personal or payment information.
If you have already acted on one of these fraudulent offers, we strongly recommend contacting your bank and updating your payment details immediately.

Our response and reassurance

Following this incident, we conducted a full investigation with our Data Protection Officer and ticketing provider. It was confirmed that unauthorised access to our ticketing system’s admin interface resulted in some customer contact information being compromised.
Please note that no card payment data is stored or processed within our ticketing system or on our website, so no financial data has been accessed.
We have taken all necessary steps to secure our systems and prevent further unauthorised access. There is no evidence that any data was altered during the breach.

We sincerely apologise for any concern or inconvenience this incident may have caused. Please rest assured that protecting your data is of the utmost importance to us, and we remain committed to taking all necessary steps to safeguard your information going forward.
